Of the seven categories available in the engage in their future National Awards, Outstanding Personal Progress has proved to be one of the most popular with it consistently receiving a significant number of nominations. And the standard of these nominations has been incredible – past winners of the award have truly demonstrated inspiring levels of personal development.
Open only to nominations for individuals, the Outstanding Personal Progress award will no doubt prove to be highly popular in the 2016 National Awards. We therefore recommend that if you are considering nominating a student in this category, you indicate a second category on the Nomination Form that may also be relevant.
When submitting a nomination, you may wish to consider the following –
The winner of this category will have demonstrated above all others, genuine and measurable progress in terms of personal development. There will be clear examples provided of the nature and impact of this development upon both the individual and his/her relationships with peers, staff and/or others within the school or local community. There will also be evidence of measurable outcomes and specific reference made to available pre- and post-measures which may further clarify the outstanding nature of the individual’s personal progress.
