Paul is the Principal of Priory Coxlease School in The New Forest, a Residential Independent Special School for boys aged 9 to 18 with BESD and associated complex needs.

He joined the Priory Group in 2007 after 30 years working in Local Authority Special Schools for young people with challenging behaviours.

Since 1988 he has been the Head Teacher of three different schools and has a unique professional profile, having led schools serving every area of special need. Paul has a particular interest in inclusive practice and has a history of innovative leadership in this area. He is an Advanced Team-Teach Instructor and has previously moderated the work of Instructors on their delivery of training. He has extensive experience in supporting and developing colleagues and has been a mentor to new Head Teachers.

Paul has previously chaired associations and organisations representing colleagues working with children and young people with special needs.

Paul has been a member of engage in their future since 2006, becoming the South Regional Representative on the National Committee in 2007. He also holds the position of National Treasurer.
