- It is difficult to begin to express quite how impressed and moved all of the staff, both at the Children’s Cancer Unit and at the Children’s Hospital, have been by your staff. Our patient was a very lucky boy when he enrolled at your school. In his time with you, he has obviously had many needs – social, emotional and physical. Your staff moved mountains to ensure that all of these needs were met. The care that was given to him by all of the team who visited has surpassed any school involvement we have experienced with any of our patients. The whole caring ethos of your school is excellent, and life was greatly enriched by having come to know you all. Please can you pass on our gratitude to all your staff for their love and care, involvement and commitment, and let them know what an excellent example they have set, and how well thought of they all are. With all good wishes”.
- “Just to say your students have been great. The feedback from staff has been really positive. The students have enjoyed their time with us and it has been a pleasure to have them. They settled in well and have been very proactive. I cannot believe they only have one more week with us. Hope you are all well”.
- “I am writing to tell you how impressed I was with your pupil both on and off the pitch. He played really well in all the matches and scored some important goals which contributed to Hampshire winning the whole tournament. As well as playing well he behaved himself throughout the day and was a real credit to himself and his school. I would appreciate it if you could pass on my congratulations to him”.
- “On behalf of the Rugby Football Union I would like to commend the boys on their behaviour as they conducted themselves in a respectable manner throughout the day. They represented Hampshire Rugby Union in an exemplary fashion and this has not gone unnoticed. The day was a great success and this is due mostly to the boys’ interaction with their hosts, their impeccable performance during training and whilst at the ground, their patience and discipline. I feel the day was a great success and I look forward to working with you on future events”.
- “Thank you for inviting us to come along to the school for a special Christmas lunch. We really enjoyed the delicious meal that had been thoughtfully prepared and cooked by the three pupils. It was clear that they had worked very hard not only with compiling a tasty and balanced menu but also in decorating the room and table. Please pass on our sincere thanks to them and to their teacher for her encouragement and assistance given to these three young men. She has obviously had a large part to play in their successful personal development”.
