The engage in their future National Creative Awards is a unique opportunity for the students and staff from the network of member schools to get creative and express themselves! If your school is a member of engage in their future, you are invited to consider the theme of the 2017 National Creative Awards and present your interpretation of it through photography, poetry and short story writing. All entries will be collated, scored by independent judges and those ranked gold, silver or bronze in the student categories will be awarded a prize. But no-one leaves empty handed as all entries will receive a certificate.
The theme of the 2017 National Creative Awards is …… Dreaming.
It could be the thoughts and visions of sleep, or the utter engrossment of day dreaming. Perhaps it’s ambitions and hopes for the future, or the stream of consciousness that follows that flash bulb moment when we ‘dreamt up’ something totally new, unique or obscure.
However you interpret it, or whatever it means to you, the National Creative Awards provides a forum to share creativity around this theme as you and your colleagues and students express yourselves through photography or creative writing (a poem or short story).
Individuals will be able to submit one entry per division (i.e. one photo, one poem, and one short story). There are five ‘age’ categories –
Entries can either be submitted online by clicking here or by post by completing and returning an entry form with the poem, short-story or photograph to engage in their future 2017 National Creative Awards, PO Box 451, Horley, RH6 6AW.
The closing date is Friday 28th April 2017.
Full terms and conditions are available by clicking here.
Make sure you tell your colleagues and students – perhaps participation could be incorporated in lesson plans, set as an extra-curricular challenge, used as a vehicle for a curriculum topic, or just as an excuse to get creative!
So start dreaming, get creative and enter the engage in their future 2017 National Creative Awards.
